The materials we use for creative expression can be found – literally – at our feet.

Join noted American-born Sydney art jeweller Keith Lo Bue on an energetic exploration of unusual and unexpected materials in jewellery making.

Through hands-on projects and thought-provoking instruction, students will learn the varied methods of selection and assembly this limitless palette demands.

No previous jewellery experience is required; all that’s needed is enthusiasm and the desire to work with your hands.

Whatever your present focus or skill level, you will come away with new insights into the possibilities of your surroundings.

The jeweller’s saw can do things no other tool can. It is one of the most useful tools for those who create small artwork.

Whether your interest is in metal, wood, plastics, found objects or even book arts, you will be amazed at the potential for this versatile tool to shape, alter and embellish scores of materials.

Make this essential tool your friend in this whirlwind session, and learn the techniques that will enormously expand your creative skills
